  • Located in Sparta, Kentucky, and constructed on 1,000 acres of land, Kentucky Speedway showcases the best in stock car racing on its 1.5-mile tri-oval. The track has 14-degree banking in the turns, a 1,600-foot backstretch that is 57-feet wide and includes a 12-foot apron. The facility also features a paved quarter-mile track.

Alcohol Policy

If you choose to drink alcohol during your visit to the Speedway, please do so responsibly and be considerate of your fellow race fans.

You must be 21 years old and present a photo ID with proof of age when making your purchase. We reserve the right to refuse to serve alcoholic beverages to any person, for any reason, and will contact police if we believe you are acting in a manner that is contrary to the law or that may endanger yourself, others, or any property.

Alcohol sales will stop in the concessions with 50 laps remaining in our races.

For the convenience of our guests, there are several ATM's located around the facility.

Baby changing stations are available in every restroom on the concourse and in the Kentucky, Quaker State and Indiana Towers. 

Campground Information

Camping Rules and Regulations

The following rules are in place to ensure guests have a safe and enjoyable race weekend experience.  Please review the following information. 

  • Guests will receive one (1) camping pass and one (1) tow car pass for each spot purchased. Credentials must be visible at all times.
  • RV Lot sizes are approximately 20' x 50'. Tent Camping Lot sizes are approximately 20' x 25'. Your camping equipment and tow vehicle must fit within the assigned space.
  • RV camping in the infield must meet at 12-foot, six-inch height requirement.
  • Quiet Hours are in effect from 12:00 a.m. until 7:00 a.m. daily.
  • Motorcycles, that are not primary modes of transportation, ATVs, mini-bikes, dirt bikes, off-road vehicles, personal golf carts, scooters, mopeds, and skateboards are NOT permitted at any time. Kentucky Speedway reserves the right to deny access to any vehicle at any time.
  • Only Kentucky Speedway approved advertising is permitted in any of the campgrounds on property.
  • Offensive signs, public intoxication and profanity will not be tolerated.
  • Fire lanes must remain open at all times. Any vehicles blocking a fire lane will be towed at the owner's expense.
  • Grills are permissible, but must be removed after the event weekend.
  • Fires are permissible in all campgrounds EXCEPT the infield. Fires must be above ground and in approved containers. Containers must be removed after the event weekend.
  • Waste and wastewater must be disposed of properly at one of the dumping stations or by calling the available on-site pump truck services.
  • Stages, stage lights, live bands and live DJs are not allowed.
  • Hot tubs and swimming pools are prohibited.
  • Flatbed trailers/box trucks are prohibited.
  • Pets are allowed in all campsites. One (1) pet per campsite. Owners are responsible for removing waste. Pets must be on a leash at all times.
  • Campground guest parking: Lots S (Lakeside), Lot P (Ponderosa/Hawk's Landing), Lot M (Bourbon St.), Lot L (Millionaires Row), Lot C (Backstretch), and Lot J (Infield). Please refer to camping map for locations.
  • Check-In booths located at each campground entrance are open 24 hours during race week for your convenience. 

Kentucky Speedway, its representatives and contracted agents reserve the right to amend campsite rules at any time. Failure to comply with the stated and posted rules may result in expulsion from the facility.

Additional Rules to Specific Campgrounds:

INFIELD CAMPING

  • Infield camping guests will receive a voucher for each wristband, up to 10 wristbands for the weekend. Wristbands allow guests to enter infield camping area only. Grandstand access, requires the purchase of a grandstand ticket. Fan Zone is accessible only with the purchase of a Fan Zone Pass. 
  • Each campsite can have up to 10 guests per site throughout the weekend. Wristbands are sold as a weekend pass only. Pricing - $40 each prior to September 17 and $50 each after September 17. Pricing for children 12 and under - $25 
  • Fires of any sort are NOT permitted.
  • Pets are permitted but must be on a leash at all times.
  • Height regulation is 12'6" for any structure (including viewing platforms, flags and flag poles) within Infield sites. Structures taller than the allowed height will be removed. 
  • Please also refer to 2014 Camping rules and regulations for additional information.

BACKSTRETCH CAMPING

  • Backstretch guests receive four (4) wristbands with the option to purchase six (6) additional guest wristbands for the event weekend. If you (the camper) are having different people come on different days, simply bring back the used wristband and you will be issued a new wristband to give your guest. The only way to obtain a new wristband is to return a used one. Backstretch wristbands allow guests to enter backstretch camping area and infield (Gate 34) for access to purchase fan zone passes. Grandstand access, requires the purchase of a grandstand ticket. Fan Zone is accessible only with the purchase of a Fan Zone Pass. 
  • Each campsite can have up to 10 guests per site throughout the weekend. Wristbands are sold as a weekend pass only. Pricing - $40 each prior to September 17 and $50 each after September 17. Pricing for children 12 and under - $25

CHECK IN - opens Wednesday, September 17  at 12:00 p.m. (noon). 

Lakeside/Ponderosa/Hawk's Landing/Bourbon Street will enter from Exit 55 onto Speedway Blvd West. Proceed to designated campground check-in booth. 

Millionaires Row will enter from Exit 57 onto KY 35. Turn left onto Jerry Carroll Blvd (Speedway Entrance #3) and proceed to check-in booth. 

Backstretch RV will enter from Exit 57 onto KY 35. Turn left onto Speedway Blvd East (Speedway Entrance #1) and proceed until you reach Entrance #22 on your right.

Infield RV will enter from Exit 57 on KY 35. Turn left onto Jerry Carroll Blvd (Speedway Entrance #3). Proceed to Entrance #4 to and stage in lot J to check-in.

CAMPGROUND AMENITIES

  • General Store is open 24 hours. Drinks, snacks and basic sundry supplies (i.e. ice, toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, etc…) are available.  
  • Shower house
    • FREE shower house is located outside Gate 15 along the midway. Shuttle buses run daily from the campgrounds to within walking distance of the shower house.
    • Temporary showers are located at the entrance of Ponderosa campground and the Infield. Showers are $5.00 each. 
  • Ice sales will be available for $5.00 for one seven pound bag. 
  • Water service / Pump service. Call 1-800-972-3800 or go to www.portakleen.com to schedule service.
    • $30.00 per pump or water fill for Class C (regular size camper)
    • $45.00 per pump or water fill for Class A or customer trailers (over 50 Gallons). 

Cooler Policy

Fans can bring one 14”x14”x14” cooler and one carry-in item (i.e. backpack or purse) into Kentucky Speedway. ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE NOT PERMITTED.* Coolers may contain unopened plastic bottles or aluminum cans (water or soft drinks) and food. All coolers and carry-in items will be inspected at the gates. Fans are encouraged to come through the gates at least one (1) hour prior to the green flag to allow for bags and coolers to be checked. Coolers are not allowed on Suite Level. 

*Kentucky ABC law prohibits alcohol to be carried through Kentucky Speedway gates.

Q: How long will it take to get through the entrance with my cooler?

A: We’ll have designated cooler checking stations with ample staff to get you through the line as quickly as possible. For your convenience, we encourage you to arrive early to allow for the extra time to have your coolers and carry-in items checked. 

Q: May I exit and re-enter the speedway with my cooler?

A: Yes you may exit and re-enter as often as you’d like through designated “Pass Out” gates. Your cooler and carry-in item will be inspected each time you return to our speedway after exiting. 

Concessions

Concessions are available inside the facility and will open along with the gates. Be sure to try our signature deep-fried, bacon-wrapped bourbon balls!

Credential Office

Follow posted signage off I-71, Exit #57 to the Credential Office located just past entrance #3 (Corner of Jerry Carroll Blvd. & Rt. 35).

Emergency Assistance

Seek the nearest Kentucky Speedway representative or law enforcement officer immediately. Report the exact location of the incident and any additional information to help emergency personnel to find the location as quickly as possible. Please allow emergency personnel to respond to incidents promptly and without interference. If you are injured, please allow staff (EMTs, First Aid staff, etc.) to attend to your needs and complete an accident report on your behalf.

Escalators

Escalators are located in our Pedestrian Tunnel, under the Indiana Tower, which provides access from the concourse to the infield. You must display the proper credential to enter the tunnel.

Fan Behavior Policy

Although fans are encouraged to enjoy themselves when they visit Kentucky Speedway, they should behave in a courteous and lawful manner at all times while on Kentucky Speedway property. Those engaging in lewd and/or otherwise unlawful behavior will be subject to removal from the Speedway grounds.

Fan Zone Purchase and Redemption Locations

Fan Zone Passes

Our Kroger Fan Zone Pass is the perfect way to take your race day experience to the next level when you visit for our July 9-11, 2015 three-race weekend featuring NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Quaker State 400, NASCAR XFINITY Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series action!

Guests who purchase a $115 Kroger Fan Zone Pass for our 2015 Quaker State 400 will receive extra value with a FanVision® rental valued at $59 to enjoy during each event that makes up our July 9-11 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, XFINITY Series 300-mile race and Camping World Truck Series UNOH 225 weekend.

Fan Zone pass holders will enjoy:

  • Access to fun activities and exclusive concessions in a designated area behind pit road and surrounding victory lane,
  • Close-up view of driver introductions and prerace concert,
  • A view of inspection and garages on race day.
  • Access to pit road during designated times as well as possible opportunities for driver photos and autographs.

Hand-held FanVision controllers will bring Fan Zone guests in-race access to as many as eight in-car cameras, replays, a digital radio scanner, real-time statistics and more during race events. Action arrives the moment it happens through a dedicated, track-side network with no buffering or waiting.

Passes must be accompanied by a corresponding race ticket to be admitted to our facility. 

Fan Zone Purchase and Redemption Locations

On race day, passes are available at ALL Ticket Booth Locations, Tunnel Entrance, Gates 10, 15, 20 and at Gate 34 in the Infield. Children must be accompanied by a paying adult. Fan Zone Passes may also be purchased in advance at the Kentucky Speedway ticket office, by CLICKING HERE or by calling (859) 578-2300.

Fan Zone vouchers can be redeemed Inside under the Indiana Tower, outside Gate 15 in Display or at Gate 34 located in the infield.

Kentucky Speedway reserves the right to ask anyone to leave the Fan Zone area at any time. Kentucky Speedway reserves the right to deny the sale of Fan Zone passes or to any individual who violates Kentucky Speedway or NASCAR sanctioning rules or regulations. Fan zone hours and operations are subject to change. Fan Zone access subject to change as determined by NASCAR in the event of inclement weather.

Fan Zone Access

  • Grandstands/Escalators- Enter the Fan Zone through the pedestrian tunnel located at the Indiana Tower grandstand. Guests must have a grandstand ticket, as well as, your Fan Zone wristband.
  • Infield - Gate 34 will serve as the Fan Zone access for the infield. You must have the proper credential to enter.

First Aid

Kentucky Speedway has three (3) physician staffed fan care centers located around the facility open during posted gate opening hours.

  • Kentucky Tower Concourse 
  • Quaker State Tower Concourse 
  • Infield 

Kentucky Speedway also has numerous first aid personnel, medical carts and ambulances located on the concourse and mezzanine levels to assist in medical emergencies.

Impound Lot

If your vehicle is towed, you will be able to claim it following the completion of each race event at the parking area near the Kentucky Speedway Operations Building.

Inclement Weather

In case of a severe weather, Kentucky Speedway will notify fans via public address system, video screens, social media @KySpeedway and www.facebook.com/kentuckyspeedway, Kentucky Speedway website, Kentucky Speedway staff, and any other means of communication on Kentucky Speedway property. Patrons will be notified at the same time Kentucky Speedway officials receive information. Please follow any direction or communication from Kentucky Speedway during severe weather activity.

INFORMATION BOOTHS / GUEST SERVICES

Information Booths/Guest Services are located at the following sites:

  • Outside Gates: Tram Stop 1, Indiana Tower,  Kentucky Tower, Quaker State Tower, Bus Stop 14.
  • Inside Gates: Gate 15 and Gate 34 (Infield)

Guest service representatives will provide you with general information, assist in acquiring transportation, lost and found, and event related services.

Children's identification armbands also are available. Children may receive a free wristband at the Information and Guest Services Booths located in various locations throughout Kentucky Speedway. The band will help your child be located should you become separated.

Lost and Found items will be submitted to the Information and Guest Services Booths located throughout Kentucky Speedway. All items will be held for 30 days pending their claim. For information regarding lost and found articles, call Kentucky Speedway at 859-567-3400, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. 

Kentucky and Bluegrass Club

Kentucky Club

The Kentucky Club offers not only an elegant setting but also one of the best views on property. Overlooking the track, theater style set up offers a unique experience that only Kentucky Speedway can offer.

Bluegrass Club

The Bluegrass Club offers some of the best views of the entire 1.5 mile tri-oval. Feel the excitement of world-class racing action while enjoying these outstanding Bluegrass Club features.

  • Guests must present their ticket each day at the Bluegrass Club Check-in Tent (Located inside Gate 15) to receive their wristband to access the Bluegrass Club.
  • Access will correspond with "all gates" opening times listed in event schedule.

Parking

ADA Parking: Visitors planning to access designated Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) parking areas must provide all required documentation in accordance with KRS 189.456. Visitors with an ADA parking credential should enter the parking area at Entrance 9, off Jerry Carroll Blvd. 

Credentialed Parking: Platinum, Suite Owner, Media Infield, and NASCAR Paddock access is at Entrance 3 via Exit 57. Chairman's Lot (Lot C) will use Entrance 1 via Exit 57.

Exit 57 will serve as the entrance for ADA placard parking.

Exit 55 will serve as the entrance for patrons arriving from the South.See parking map

Tailgating Policy

For your safety, local law enforcement agencies and fire departments require us to keep a 12-foot, clear aisle between all rows of parked cars. 

Our parking lot aisles are 20-feet wide and we ask your assistance in keeping pop-up tents, grills, chairs and other tailgate items within FOUR FEET of the rear of your parking space to maintain 12-foot lane required to allow safety vehicles to quickly operate in the event of an emergency.

Postponement Policy

Should an event be postponed, your tickets and Fan Zone passes will be honored on the rescheduled date.

Guests must possess original event tickets and original Fan Zone wristbands to be admitted on the rescheduled date. Fan Zone passes can be redeemed through designated locations. 

Cash refunds will not be issued for event tickets and/or Fan Zone passes. 

Information regarding rescheduled events will be available through www.kentuckyspeedway.com, the Kentucky Speedway Facebook page and on the @KySpeedway Twitter feed.

Prohibited Items

Include but are not limited to the following:

  • Aerosol cans
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Animals (except service animals)
  • Baby strollers
  • Balloons or beach balls
  • Chairs of any kind
  • Fireworks or missile-like objects
  • Glass containers of any kind
  • Illegal substances
  • Laser pointers
  • Noise making devices - bells, bullhorns, whistles and other items
  • Projectiles of any kind
  • Seat cushion with metal arm rests
  • Sticks, bats, poles or clubs
  • Tripods
  • Umbrellas
  • Video or movie cameras
  • Weapons: guns, knives, mace, handcuffs, nightsticks, blackjacks or other items
  • Items that pose a safety hazard or may diminish from other fans enjoyment of an event

Kentucky Speedway reserves the right to add items to the prohibited list at any time.

Radio Broadcast Information

Information Radio 1620 AM: Fans within a five-mile radius of Kentucky Speedway can get the latest Speedway traffic and facility information by tuning to 1620 AM.

Public Address System on Radio (89.5 FM): Fans can tune to 89.5 FM on their radios to listen to the Kentucky Speedway public address system during our race events.

Kentucky Speedway events are broadcast nationally and locally on radio.

  • Performance Radio Network (PRN) carries the NNS race VisitMyrtleBeach.com 300 at Kentucky Speedway). Local affiliates include WCKY 1530 AM, WSAI 1360 AM, Cincinnati, OH; WSCH 99.3 FM, Aurora, IN;  WGTK 970 AM,  Louisville, KY; WIZE 1340 AM Springfield/Dayton, OH.
  • All NASCAR races at Kentucky Speedway can also be heard on SiriusXM NASCAR channel 90.

Scanner Rentals and Frequencies

Scanners, radio, and driver frequencies are available and may be purchased or rented from vendors on Souvenir Row located outside Gate 15.

Security at Ticket Gates

ALL CARRY-IN ITEMS ARE SUBJECT TO SEARCH BY KENTUCKY SPEEDWAY WHEN ENTERING THE FACILITY.

ITEMS MAY NOT BE LEFT AT THE GATE. Unlawful items discovered during security inspections will be confiscated and reported to the legal authorities. Any prohibited item discovered inside Kentucky Speedway will be confiscated. Uniformed police officers and Speedway Security will be stationed throughout the facility to ensure your safety. 

Shuttle Services

ADA Shuttle

An ADA shuttle service will be provided for our disabled patrons. *Fans can schedule a pick up by calling our fan hotline at (859) 567-3440. 

Golf Cart Policy

No personal golf carts are allowed on or around Kentucky Speedway grounds, including all campgrounds. Only SMI credentialed golf carts are allowed

Shuttle Bus:

Shower Shuttle will pick guests up from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, September 17. The shower shuttle will begin 8 a.m. Thursday September 18 through Saturday, September 20.

Shuttle Bus **Shuttle buses will pick up and drop off guests at  designated locations only. Please refer to Facility Map for locations.

Speedway Children's Charities Events

Speedway Children's Charities (SCC) is the official charity of Speedway Motorsports Inc. and Kentucky Speedway.  Each year, the Kentucky Chapter of SCC plans events and activities that raise critical funds to benefit children in Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana by providing grants to worthy non-profit children's organizations.  Our chapter will host the following events, among others, during our 2014 race season:

  • Hole-In-One Game at Ford Fan Day Saturday, April 26, 2014
  • Second Annual "Pulling For Kids" Charity Clay Shoot Thursday, June 26, 2014
  • Third Annual Ride of a Lifetime Live Auction Friday, June 27, 2014
  • Third Annual Laps for Charity September 2014

Kentucky Speedway has three easy ways for you to purchase race tickets:

In Person: Visit our Corporate Offices at 1 Speedway Drive, Sparta, Kentucky 41086. Please call 859-567-3400 for hours of operation. Ticket prices increase $5.00 on race day.

Re-Entry

Guests may use their race ticket to exit and re-enter the facility unlimited times during our race events. Tickets must be scanned upon exiting and re-entering the facility.

Refund Policy

Kentucky Speedway DOES NOT ISSUE REFUNDS FOR ANY REASON. Tickets issued for a postponed event will be honored on the rescheduled date.

Rescheduling Policy

Raincheck - No money refunded. In the event of postponement, ticket holder will be granted admission on the date the event is held.

Scalping

We prohibit the resale of tickets on the Kentucky Speedway property. The resale of Kentucky Speedway tickets or credentials on Speedway grounds is in violation of Kentucky Law (KRS 518.070). Tickets and credentials will be confiscated and the seller(s) will be removed from Speedway property. 

Will Call

For the convenience of our guests, Will Call will be available at ALL ticket booths and at the main ticket box office. A PHOTO ID IS REQUIRED TO CLAIM TICKETSSee Ticket Booth hours for schedule. 

 

Track Tours

Your tour includes an up-close look at areas that are off usually off limits to fans during race weekends! 

Tours are available year round for $7.00 per person. Children age 6 and younger are admitted free.

Full facility tours are not conducted during the weeks of our events.

  • I -71 South towards Louisville
  • All Speedway traffic, including credentialed parking from the North, exit I-71 at KY 35 (Exit #57)
  • Right on KY 35 and follow inbound traffic signs to Kentucky Speedway Parking

 

FROM LOUISVILLE and points South

  • I-71 North towards Cincinnati
  • Credentialed traffic exit I-71 at KY 35 (Exit #57); left on KY 35 and follow inbound traffic signs to Kentucky Speedway Credentialed Parking
  • All other Speedway traffic from the South, exit I-71 at KY 1039 (Exit #55)
  • Left on KY 1039 to Speedway Blvd and follow inbound traffic signs to Kentucky Speedway Parking

 

FROM LEXINGTON and points Southeast

  • I-75 North towards Cincinnati
  • I-71 South towards Louisville
  • All Speedway traffic, including credentialed from the North, exit I-71 at KY 35 (Exit #57)
  • Right on KY 35 and follow inbound traffic signs to Kentucky Speedway Parking

 

FROM FRANKFORT and points South

  • I-64 to US-127 through Frankfort
  • US-127 to KY 35
  • All other Speedway traffic from the South, exit I-71 at KY 1039 (Exit #55)
  • Follow inbound traffic signs to Kentucky Speedway Parking

 

FROM INDIANA and points Northwest

  • I-74 East towards Cincinnati
  • Exit at I-275 South and follow into Kentucky
  • Exit at I-75 / I-71 South and follow to the I-75 / I-71 split
  • Take I-71 South towards Louisville
  • All Speedway traffic, including credentialed parking, exit I-71 at KY 35 (Exit #57)
  • Right on KY 35 and follow inbound traffic signs to Kentucky Speedway Parking
