9 - The final Watkins Glen International laps saw leader Kyle Busch and Brad Keselowski collide. Keselowski's No. 2 was on and off the track running side-by-side with Marcos Ambrose's No. 9. Ambrose pulled out a half-second victory off the final turn and Busch’s setback proved to be the difference between earning a wild card Chase berth and being a postseason spectactor.
8 - JR Motorsports driver Danica Patrick posts the highest NASCAR championship finish by a female competitor with a 10th-place showing in the final Nationwide Series standings. Sara Christian set the previous record with a 13th-place finish in the 1949 NASCAR Sprint Cup standings.
7 - Rising Roush Fenway Racing star Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. becomes the sixth driver since 1982 to earn back to back NASCAR Nationwide Series championships. The points lead changed five times during the campaign and Stenhouse Jr., took the lead for the final time with a fourth-place Texas Motor Speedway finish in November.
6 - Rockingham Raceway Rockingham Speedway for the first time since 2004 with the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series on April 15. Kasey Kahne takes the first series victory for Turner Motorsports.
