We've never doubted NASCAR drivers were in it for the long haul and they proved it during our June tripleheader Quaker State 400 presented by Advance Auto Parts weekend.

Beginning with the Nationwide Series test, drivers completed 29,304 laps and 43,956 miles on our rough, 1.5-mile tri-oval through a five-day stretch that began with an all-day NASCAR Nationwide Series test June 24.

The total mileage is the equivalent of 20 round trips from our fine hamlet of Sparta, Ky., to Los Angeles, 11 round trips to London, England and 4.5 trips Marcos Ambrose's hometown of Launceston, Tasmania, Australia.

Sprint Cup Series drivers turned 12,796 laps to lead the charge, Nationwide Series drivers rolled through 11,280 laps and Camping World Truck Series drivers reeled off 5,228 laps.
