SPARTA, Ky. - The Kentucky Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities will host the Third Annual Laps for Charity on Thursday, Sept. 18 at Kentucky Speedway from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The family-fun fundraiser allows fans the opportunity to drive five laps around the track in their personal street-legal vehicles and have their photo taken in Victory Lane for $40 per vehicle and the first 100 cars will receive a commemorative Laps for Charity decal.

As an added bonus, ARCA Racing Series Rookie of the Year contender Austin Wayne Self, Hixson Motorsports driver Thomas Praytor and current points leader Mason Mitchell will be signing autographs when participants pick up their photos following their laps.

"There is nothing better than experiencing the thrill of NASCAR's roughest track from behind the wheel of your personal vehicle," said Chapter Director Dayna Winslette. "What makes this fundraiser even more exciting is sharing the moment with your family while supporting Tri-State children in need."

Laps for Charity opens the track's September race weekend activities, which include the Sept. 19 ARCA Series Zloop 150 and Sept. 20 NASCAR Nationwide Series 300.

All funds raised from this event will benefit the Kentucky Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities.
