Kentucky Speedway announced today it has extended its marketing partnership with Budweiser, making the world's best-selling beer the "Official Beer of Kentucky Speedway" through 2005.

"Budweiser has been with us since we opened in 2000, and I'm delighted we were able to extend our current partnership with Anheuser-Busch and the 'King of Beers,'" Kentucky Speedway Executive Vice President and General Manager Mark F. Cassis said. "Budweiser's reputation in the promotion of sporting events and venues is unparalleled. Anheuser-Busch will continue to be a strategic marketing partner with Kentucky Speedway not only in the promotion of our NASCAR Busch Series 'Meijer 300,' but all events occurring at the speedway."

Financial terms of the extension were not disclosed, but Budweiser receives a luxury suite, race event tickets, and facility signage as well as advertising and promotional considerations under the terms of the agreement.

"We're proud to continue our partnership with Kentucky Speedway," said Tony Ponturo, vice president, Global Media and Sports Marketing, Anheuser-Busch, Inc. "As the 'Official Beer of NASCAR' and a longtime supporter of motorsports, Budweiser is the beer preferred by adult race fans. Our sponsorship of this great facility allows us to gain significant exposure among racing fans throughout the bluegrass region."

Kentucky Speedway opens May 9-10 with the return of the ARCA RE/MAX Series for the "Channel 5-205" and Legends Series race with NASCAR Winston Cup Series stars. Racing continues June 13-14 when the NASCAR Busch Series convenes to contest "The Meijer 300" and the NASCAR All-Pro Series runs "The Kentucky 150." The July 11-12 weekend features the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series "Kentucky 225" and NASCAR Goody's Dash Series "Kentucky 150." The Indy Racing League Indy Car Series will provide the season finale August 16-17 with "The Belterra Casino Indy 300" and Indy Racing Infiniti Pro Series "Kentucky 100."
