SPARTA, Ky. - After winning the pole for tonight's NASCAR Camping World Truck Series UNOH 225 race at Kentucky Speedway, Kyle Busch went out and led the only NASCAR Nationwide Series John R. Elliott HERO Campaign 300 presented by Drive Sober or Get Pulled over practice of the day.

Busch ran 34 laps in the 55-minute session and his fastest lap was 174.729 mph. Ryan Blaney in the No. 12 Penske Racing Ford was second on the chart at 174.49 mph followed by Brian Scott (174.441 mph), Paul Menard (174.419 mph) and Corey LaJoie (174.329 mph).

Kyle Larson, Kevin Harvick, Ty Dillon, Brendan Gaughan and Brad Keselowski rounded out the top 10.

Series points leader Regan Smith was 16th in the session with a best lap of 172.397 mph.

Nationwide teams have one practice scheduled Friday morning from 9 - 10:20 p.m. and qualifying is set for 3:40 p.m. The John R. Elliott HERO Campaign 300 is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.
