Country music stars Tammy Cochran and Mark Wills will provide pre-race entertainment for the May and June race weekends at Kentucky Speedway.

Cochran will perform prior to the May 10 ARCA RE/MAX Series "Channel 5-205" and Wills will entertain before the June 14 NASCAR Busch Series "Meijer 300 Presented by Oreo." Both concerts are included with the purchase of a race ticket for the respective events.

"We've established a reputation for creating a 'big event' atmosphere during all of our events and these two artists will certainly generate added enthusiasm for our 'Channel 5-205' and 'Meijer 300 Presented by Oreo' weekends," Kentucky Speedway Executive Vice President and General Manager Mark F. Cassis said. "We're proud to be hosting both of these top caliber artists on our WUBE-FM B-105 Country Soundstage."

Wills' newest Mark Wills Greatest Hits album is aptly named as its new single "19 Somethin'" has spent several weeks at No.1 on the Billboard Magazine Country Singles Chart. The song recounts his memories of coming of age in the 70s, 80s and 90s. The song is the fifth No. 1 single and eighth top-five of Wills' career. The new album features his favorite hits from his four previous releases Mark Wills, Wish You Were Here, Permanently and Loving Every Minute. Wills has sold more than 3 million albums during his career. His other No. 1 recordings include "I Do (Cherish You)," "Don't Laugh At Me," "Wish You Were Here," and "Back At One."

Cochran's well received self-titled 2001 album produced the hit singles "I Cry" and "Angels in Waiting" to help her become the 2002 ABC Radio Networks Listener Awards "New Artist of the Year." Her 2002 Life Happened release features the hit title single as well as the hit "Love Won't Let Me," which reached No. 36 on the March 1 edition of the Billboard charts. Kentucky Speedway opens May 9-10 with the return of the ARCA RE/MAX Series for the "Channel 5-205" and autograph session with NASCAR Winston Cup Series stars. Racing continues June 13-14 when the NASCAR Busch Series convenes to contest "The Meijer 300 Presented by Oreo" and the NASCAR Kodak Southeast Series runs "The Kentucky 150." The July 11-12 weekend features the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series "Kentucky 225" and NASCAR Goody's Dash Series "Kentucky 150." The Indy Racing League Indy Car Series will provide the season finale August 16-17 with "The Belterra Casino Indy 300" and Indy Racing Infiniti Pro Series "Kentucky 100."
