Kentucky Speedway fans can view the Friday, Sept. 23 IZOD IndyCar Series test session for our Oct. 2 "Kentucky Indy 300" for free from a designated area outside Turn 3.

Testing is scheduled to begin at noon and conclude at 6:00 p.m. Times may vary based on team objectives. Fans can enter the driveway to the Kentucky Speedway corporate office building located at 1 Speedway Drive, Sparta, Ky., 41086, off of Interstate 71 Exit 57 and state Highway 35 N.

The following IICS drivers will be available for comment from 11:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at their individual transporters: Marco Andretti (Andretti Autosport), Dillon Battistini (Bryan Herta Autosport), Ana Beatriz (Dreyer & Reinbold Racing), Ed Carpenter (Sarah Fisher Racing), Helio Castroneves (Team Penske Racing), Wade Cunningham (Sam Schmidt Motorsports), Scott Dixon (Chip Ganassi Racing), Dario Franchitti (Chip Ganassi Racing), Pippa Mann (Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing), Will Power (Team Penske Racing), Graham Rahal (Service Central Chip Ganassi Racing) and Justin Wilson (Dreyer & Reinbold Racing).

Power will enter the "Kentucky Indy 300" leading three-time defending IICS champion Franchitti by 11 points in the championship with two races remaining in the season. Dixon ranks third in the standings and is 59 points off the lead. Power is set to make his fourth IICS Kentucky Speedway start. He earned his series track-best eighth-place finish in 2010 and captured his only other top-10 finish at the track with a ninth-place effort in 2009. His average Kentucky Speedway finish is 14th. Franchitti readies for his seventh career Kentucky Speedway start. He earned his series track-best fifth-place finish in 2010 and has earned a total of five top-10 Kentucky finishes. His average Kentucky Speedway finish is ninth. Dixon is preparing for his ninth career Kentucky Speedway start. He rolled to a 2008 victory at the track from the pole position and also started the venue's 2009 race from the pole position. He placed seventh for the second straight time at the track last season. The 2008 and 2003 IICS champion has earned a total of four top-five and six top-10 Kentucky Speedway finishes, including second-place showings in 2007, 2006 and 2003. His average Kentucky Speedway finish is seventh.

The "Kentucky Indy 300" will conclude a tripleheader race weekend which opens October 1 with the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) "Kentucky 225". The weekend additionally includes a 100-mile Firestone Indy Lights race Oct. 2.
