More than 450 fans visited Kentucky Speedway on Saturday, November 3, for the second annual "Drive The Track Sale."

Fans who spent $40 or more in the Turn 3 Fan Center Gift Shop were able to drive up to three laps around the speedway's 1.5-mile tri-oval in their own vehicles. Nearly 300 SUVs, vans, coupes and classics took to the track during the six-hour event. Shoppers took advantage of discounts on their favorite Kentucky Speedway and authentic NASCAR Winston Cup Series driver merchandise.

"The ride was an unforgettable experience for my four-year-old son," said one shopper. "He's a huge NASCAR fan and loves the watch the races at Kentucky Speedway. This really made his day."

Cincinnati's B-105 FM (WUBE) also was on hand to help promote the sale and its upcoming Holiday "Toys For Tots" campaign. The Speedway donated 500 die cast toys to help kick off the campaign.

Season tickets for 2002 are on sale now and available by phone at 1-888-652-RACE and in person at the speedway's Ft. Mitchell ticket office at 2216 Dixie Hwy., Ste. 200.
