Sometimes, it is the thought that counts. For Joe Cram and his father Ralph, the initial idea of a cross country trip from Houston, TX to Detroit, MI started as a dream. Then, it turned into reality. Ford brought the trip to life, through its "The '10 Unleashed" series. The four day journey included a stop at Kentucky Speedway.

Son, Joe submitted an essay to the program explaining his plan to give back to his dad a journey he'd never forget. "I never believed in the world that I would have gotten picked, me and my pop" said Joe Cram. "It's not something we would have been able to do 15 years ago like we had planned. Not on this scale. But, looking at the grin on his face, I don't think this one will ever get topped."

Both Ralph and Joe had the opportunity of turning several laps in a 2010 Mustang convertible on the 1.5 mile tri-oval. At 66 years old, Ralph unleashed the power of the Mustang. "My son was screaming like a baby!" said Ralph. The stop at the track turned out to be one of the highlights of the trip for the self-proclaimed daredevil, who also skydives and is a pilot. "Life is good. At my age, you gotta do it. It is the bucket list!"
