NASCAR Busch Series 2003 runner-up David Green, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series 2003 Rookie-of-the-Year Carl Edwards and Meijer locations in Florence and Louisville, Ky., helped generate a strong first day of single-event ticket sales for the 2004 Kentucky Speedway season.

Green met about 150 fans in Louisville and Edwards, the 2003 "Built Ford Tough 225 Presented by The Greater Cincinnati Ford Dealers" Kentucky Speedway race winner, greeted nearly 100 fans in Florence. Both drivers signed autographs and gave fans a preview of their upcoming seasons.

"I'll always have great memories of Kentucky Speedway because it's where I won my first truck series race," Edwards said. He celebrated that win with a now signature backflip off the rear deck of his truck. He added he plans to successfully defend his title in 2004.

Along with Tickets.com outlets at select Meijer, Hader Hardware and Play-It-Again Sports locations, fans also can purchase tickets for all 2004 Kentucky Speedway races on the Internet at www.kentuckyspeedway.com or www.tickets.com, by phone at 1-888-652-RACE or at the Kentucky Speedway ticket offices in Ft. Mitchell, Ky., at 2216 Dixie Hwy., Ste. 200 and in Sparta, Ky., in the Turn 3 Fan Center.

The speedway continues to sell season packages for its fifth anniversary season. Packages range from $200 to $320 depending on seat location and can be purchased through www.kentuckyspeedway.com or by phone at 859-578-2300.
