SPARTA, Ky. - Hundreds of race fans joined the fun of Kentucky Speedway's Ford Fan Day April 25 despite persistent rain showers and cooler-than-normal temperatures.

Two-time Daytona 500 winner Sterling Marlin and speedway general manager Mark Simendinger entertained guests as part of panel discussions, fans were able to tour the owner's suite and see the No. 22 NASCAR XFINITY Series and No. 43 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series show cars while children enjoyed a variety of activities including visits to a petting zoo.

Guests that downloaded Kentucky Speedway's new mobile app, available now in the Apple App Store and from Google Play, were able to compete to win prizes in an app-exclusive photo scavenger hunt.

"Thanks to our great fans and volunteers who made Ford Fan Day so much fun despite some tough weather," Simendinger said.
