SPARTA, Ky. - Joe Gibbs Racing announced Saturday an extension of Matt Kenseth's contract "for a number of years" and expanded sponsorship from Dollar General.

The Goodlettsville, Tennessee-based discount retailer will sponsor Kenseth and the No. 20 JGR Toyota in 30 Sprint Cup races next season, up from 27 this year. The team has a sponsor for the remaining six races but was not prepared to announce it Saturday.

Kenseth enters tonight's Quaker State 400 as the defending race winner, and is still seeking his first victory of 2014 after winning a Sprint Cup Series-leading seven last season.

"It would be nice to get a win, for sure, anywhere but especially here since it's tonight," Kenseth said. "I get asked somewhere between 10 and 70 times a day when we're going to win, depending on how many people I see. So it would be nice to check that off the box so we don't have to answer that question any more.

"We had such a spectacular year and the bar was obviously set high. We've had a solid year this year except for the last four weeks. We need to get back up front and be leading laps and put ourself in a position to win. I feel like we've been gaining on that every week. Yesterday, I thought we had a solid day, so hopefully we can turn that into a good result."

Team owner Joe Gibbs saw an opportunity to inject some humor.

"I'm one of the guys that keeps asking him when are we going to win," he said.
