The first 15,000 fans to enter Kentucky Speedway for the Sunday, August 11 "Belterra Casino Indy 300" Indy Racing League event will receive one of three bobbleheads depicting league drivers Buddy Lazier, Sam Hornish, Jr., and Al Unser, Jr.

Bobbleheads will be distributed randomly beginning at 8:00 a.m. as the speedway gates open.

"From party horns celebrating Oreo's 90th Birthday to American Flags and Lee Greenwood celebrating America, our fans are always wondering what's coming next," Kentucky Speedway Executive Vice President and General Manager Mark F. Cassis said. "Bobbleheads are very popular with fans and have never before been the center of a promotional giveaway at a speedway. We're delighted the IRL worked with us to develop this promotion to add yet another element of fun to our event weekend for our fans." Racing action begins on the track at 11:00 a.m. when the Indy Racing Infiniti Pro Series makes its Kentucky Speedway debut. The new series was created to groom the Indy Racing League stars of the future and features driving prodigys A.J. Foyt, IV and Aurie Luyendyk, Jr.

Sunday also features the third Indy Racing League "Belterra Casino Indy 300" at 1:30 p.m. The field will be highlighted by Marlboro Team Penske drivers Helio Castroneves, the 2000 and 2001 Indianapolis 500 winner, and Gil de Ferran, a two-time CART Series Champion. 2001 IRL Champion Sam Hornish, Jr., and two-time "Belterra Casino Indy 300" Champion Buddy Lazier also will race in the event.

Kentucky Speedway opens its fourth and final weekend of the season with the NASCAR Hills Bros. All Pro Series and IRL qualifying on "84 WHAS AM 150 & Pole Day" on Saturday, August 10. The "WHAS 150" begins at 2:00 p.m. and will be followed by Indy Racing Infiniti Pro Series and IRL qualifying for "The Belterra Casino Indy 300." Speedway gates open at 10:00 a.m. on August 10.

Fans also will be able to register to win the Official Kentucky Speedway Belterra Casino Indy 300 Pace Car, a 2002 Ford Mustang GT, courtesy of event title sponsor Belterra Casino Resort throughout the weekend.
