SPARTA, Ky. - Senior Director of Business Development Dan Stuart, a resident of LaGrange, Kentucky has been selected Kentucky Speedway's 2014 Salesperson of the Year where he grew his business for the speedway by more than 12 percent. 

"Dan continues to be the consummate sales professional. He is responsible for some of Kentucky Speedway's most prominent clients. I am so proud that he will represent Kentucky Speedway as Salesperson of the Year for the second time in the past three years," said Kentucky Speedway's Vice President of Sale and Marketing John Cox. 

During Stuart's tenure at Kentucky he has continued to build and maintain extensive partnerships with the company's long-term clients. 

"In a day when building long lasting relationships with partners is more critical than ever, Dan continues to set the bar in salesmanship and client service. I know I speak for Dan when I say that it takes a total team Kentucky Speedway effort to become Salesperson of the Year and he shares this with every department within our organization because without their effort he could not be successful," said Cox. 

In addition to the recognition, Stuart will be rewarded with a trip to NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Awards Banquet in Las Vegas, Nevada. 

Kentucky Speedway's 2015 season will open in July with a NASCAR tripleheader weekend. It will be the second time the NASCAR tripleheader weekend will be hosted in July featuring the Sprint Cup Series Quaker State 400, a 300-mile XFINITY Series (NXS) race and the Camping World Truck Series UNOH 225 which opens the weekend on Thursday night. The NXS will return to the track September 26 for a second date. It will be the fourth time the NXS will race twice at the track in the same year.
