Spectrum Networks, Inc., a premiere nationwide telecommunications management company, announced today it has entered into a multi-year, telecommunications management contract with Kentucky Speedway.

Spectrum will manage the Kentucky Speedway data, voice, Internet, and local telecom infrastructure and provide on-site support for speedway events.

"Spectrum was diligent in its search for a carrier that was able to meet our unique needs," Chris J. Grathwohl, Kentucky Speedway vice president of finance and controller said. "Spectrum was willing to spend the necessary time learning our needs and existing systems, which enabled its team to assemble the best overall package for our corporate office and motorsports facility. The transition was well planned and virtually invisible to the end user. Best of all, Spectrum was able to increase our telecom capabilities and reduce our monthly expense."

The $152-million Kentucky Speedway is located in Sparta, Ky., and is in its fourth race season. The facility annually hosts race events featuring the NASCAR Busch Series, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, Indy Racing League IndyCar Series and the ARCA RE/MAX Series.

"Kentucky Speedway has become as much a landmark to the tri-state area as Great American Ballpark or Paul Brown Stadium," Trent McCracken, executive vice president and CIO of Spectrum said. "Coupling our success in the telecom environment and the speedway's success in motorsports makes for an exciting team.

In today's current telecom environment, choices are not everything they once were. The industry has suffered through mergers and acquisitions, tariff changes, competitive pricing and recently, increased costs across the board.

"That is why Spectrum Networks continues to focus on identifying improved technologies and providing our customers with the appropriate carriers that deliver the best possible solutions," McCracken added.

Privately held Spectrum Networks, Inc., based in Cincinnati, OH is one of the fastest growing and most financially stable telecom management companies in the U.S. Spectrum's services include research, implementation, management, auditing and support of its customers' telecommunications services including data, Internet and voice.
