Kentucky Speedway will continue productive relationships with key corporate and event partners such as Meijer, the Greater Cincinnati Ford Dealers, the Kentucky Department of Transportation Safety and two Harley-Davidson dealerships during its 10-event, six-weekend 2008 race season that will begin May 10 and end Sept. 20.

"Our sales and marketing department really went to work to support our upcoming season and I'm pleased that, once again, we will not have an unsponsored major event at Kentucky Speedway in 2008.

"Gaining partnership commitments proves our venue continues to provide benefits for clients. We learn their strategic goals and objectives and integrate those into a promotional plan that realizes mutual success. Clearly, it's working, and that's rewarding," Kentucky Speedway Executive Vice President and General Manager Mark F. Cassis said.

Meijer will continue its reign as the "Official Retailer of Kentucky Speedway" and has renewed event entitlements of the venue's June 14 300-mile NASCAR Nationwide Series race and Aug. 9 300-mile IndyCar Series affair. The 66,089-seat speedway will attempt to extend its "Meijer 300" Nationwide Series sellout streak to eight after attracting an average crowd of 70,962 to its previous series events. The "Meijer Indy 300" will be held in conjunction with a 100-mile Indy Pro Series race and will start in the Kentucky twilight for the second time in track history.

"We're very pleased to continue our five-year relationship with Kentucky Speedway," Meijer Director of Promotions and Partnerships Cathy Cooper said. "Racing has proven to be a passion for many of our customers and team members; this makes our designation as the 'Official Retailer of Kentucky Speedway' a great fit for Meijer."

Meijer is a Grand Rapids, Mich.-based retailer that operates 181 supercenters throughout Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio and Kentucky. The Greater Cincinnati Ford Dealers will continue to support the speedway's NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series "Built Ford Tough 225 Presented by the Greater Cincinnati Ford Dealers" race to be held July 12. The 27-dealer organization has been involved with speedway operations since developers broke ground in 2000. The race has been part of an F-150 truck sales promotion in previous seasons.

"We're proud of our NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event partnership and proud to be the 'Official Car and Truck of Kentucky Speedway' because our involvement with this top-notch venue helps deepen our customer relationships," Greater Cincinnati Ford Dealers Chairman Robert Nolan said.

The Kentucky Department of Transportation Safety will utilize the speedway's opening ARCA RE/MAX Series "Drive Smart Buckle-Up Kentucky 150" race as a platform for promoting Transportation Cabinet initiatives designed to reduce the high crash, injury, and automotive-related fatality rates in Kentucky. Transportation Cabinet programs are founded in the four "E's" of highway safety: Education, Engineering, Enforcement and Emergency Response.

"We are pleased to partner with Kentucky Speedway in our efforts to promote highway safety and reduce fatalities on Kentucky's roadways," Commissioner Tim Hazlette, Kentucky Department of Transportation Safety, said. "The 'Drive Smart Buckle-Up Kentucky 150' provides a great opportunity to honor Kentucky's law enforcement and other safety professionals, while reaching race fans with very important safety messages."

Harley-Davidson of Cincinnati and Thoroughbred Harley-Davidson of Florence, Ky., will present Kentucky Speedway's unique 150-mile "Frank Kimmel Enduro Nationals II" street stock endurance test May 24. Sixty-nine drivers from the top local tracks around the country treated Kentucky Speedway fans to five-wide racing during the event's 2007 debut. The race is organized by nine-time ARCA RE/MAX Series champion Frank Kimmel of Jeffersonville, Ky., to provide local drivers the opportunity to compete at premier motorsports venue.

Kentucky Speedway also will partner with Cincinnati Bell, KOI Auto Parts, Outback Steakhouse Catering, Pleasant Valley Outdoor Power, PHI Air Medical of Kentucky, Tom Stinnett R.V. Freedom Center and UK Healthcare for promotional and event initiatives throughout the 2008 season.

The track will once again add value to its entertainment experience by presenting a concert prior to each feature event. The artist line-up for the new season will be announced in the coming weeks.

Single-event ticket and season ticket plan prices will hold steady for the third consecutive season. Season ticket plans are on sale now and range in price from $165 to $255 depending on seat location. Plans are loaded with special benefits such as a VIP Rewards program membership that will help fans earn points toward a discount off their 2009 plan renewal by simply making speedway purchases, VIP Parking, reserved seats for each feature event, cold pit and Fanfest passes, the option to purchase admission to June 14, July 12 and August 9 Outback Steakhouse tailgate parties for a combined total of $60 as well as the option to purchase additional event tickets at a discount. The Outback Steakhouse Tailgate tent will be located in the infield. Party goers will enjoy Outback Steakhouse fare, games and music along with visits by event celebrities throughout the season.

Mitchell, Ky., near Montgomery Inn and the Sparta, Ky., Fan Center located off of I-71 Exit 57 and Ky. Hwy. 35 N. Single-event tickets will be placed on sale Monday, Jan. 7, 2008.
