Kentucky Speedway will sponsor and host the 2003 March of Dimes "Ride For Babies" charity event on September 20.

Motorcyclists from Cincinnati and Louisville, Ky., will go from "Zero to Hero" as they converge on Kentucky Speedway to raise funds to aid the more than 460,000 premature babies born in the U.S. each year.

The "Ride for Babies" registration fee is $30 for riders and $15 for passengers.

The 40-mile Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky ride will originate from Oldenberg Brewery at 400 Buttermilk Pike in Ft. Mitchell, just off of Interstate 71/75 Exit 186. Cincinnati riders can register in advance by calling 513-769-3588. Onsite registration begins at 9:00 a.m. and the ride departs at 10:30 a.m.

The 75-mile Louisville ride will originate at Jillian's at 630 Barrett Ave. Louisville riders can register in advance by calling 502-895-3734. Onsite registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the ride departs at 10:00 a.m.

The "Ride for Babies" will conclude with a live concert and victory laps around Kentucky Speedway's 1.5-mile tri-oval.

The $152-million Kentucky Speedway will enter its fifth race season in 2004. The facility hosts major NASCAR Busch Series, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, Indy Racing League IndyCar Series and ARCA RE/MAX Series race events.
