Kentucky Speedway will present the groundbreaking new IMAX film "NASCAR: The IMAX Experience 3D" during its run at the Marcus IMAX Crosswoods Cinema in Columbus, Ohio. The film debuts nationally on March 12.

Directed by Simon Wincer ("Lonesome Dove," "Free Willy") and narrated by Golden Globe Award-winning actor Kiefer Sutherland, the film thrusts moviegoers into the heart-pounding thrills experienced by NASCAR's elite drivers at breakneck speeds approaching 200 mph. The film also explores the world of the race teams that keeps drivers on the track and the fans whose intense devotion fuels America's most popular spectator sport.

"We are delighted to be a part of the IMAX NASCAR film in Columbus as the market is always in the top 10 in television ratings for NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series viewership. The support Kentucky Speedway receives from the area is overwhelming, especially for our annual NASCAR Busch Series event, 'The Meijer 300 Presented by Oreo,' which will run on June 19 this season," Kentucky Speedway Executive Vice President and General Manger Mark F. Cassis said. "Marcus Theaters is to be commended for recognizing the power of NASCAR and for being the only IMAX theater in Ohio running the film during its national debut. We look forward to a rewarding partnership and hope Columbus race fans enjoy this unique, 3D look at NASCAR."

The film is distributed exclusively to IMAX® theatres by Warner Bros. Pictures and IMAX and marks Warner Bros.' first foray into the IMAX arena. For more information about the film and to locate an IMAX Theatre playing the film, visit www.IMAX.com/racing.

"The name of this film says it all," said Paul Brooks, Senior Vice President, NASCAR. "People start to understand the magic of our sport when they attend their first NASCAR race in person where the intense drama, sound, emotion, thrills and excitement of NASCAR can be experienced firsthand on our incredible real-life stage. This film will allow us to immerse an audience in the NASCAR experience at IMAX theatres worldwide and attract new fans to the sport, while bringing tremendous exposure and value to our drivers, teams, tracks, sponsors and other partners."
