Kentucky Speedway is inviting Cincinnati to "Race to Fountain Square" Thursday, June 14 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for a special preview of the June 16 NASCAR Busch Series "Meijer 300 Presented by Oreo" race.

Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory will accept the official race green flag he will wave to start the race, NASCAR Busch Series Competition Director Joe Balash will accept the key to the city and square visitors will be able to enjoy live music from the Speedway Boogie Boys, drive race simulators and participate in race-related games and activities.

"Our 'Race to Fountain Square' will bring a whole new meaning to a fast lunch while creating energy and enthusiasm for our largest event of the season, the 'Meijer 300 Presented by Oreo,'" Kentucky Speedway Executive Vice President and General Manager Mark F. Cassis said. "We'll have seven NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series stars such as current points leader and 2005 race winner Carl Edwards, Greg Biffle, Dave Blaney, David Stremme and David Reutimann competing in a competitive 43-car field that will include 2003 race winner Bobby Hamilton, Jr., up-and coming talents Marcos Ambrose, Steve Wallace, JR Motorsports driver Shane Huffman and NASCAR Busch Series power Jason Leffler."

Kentucky Speedway's third of five 2007 event weekends begins Friday, June 15 with "ClearChannel Cincinnati Fanfest" when gates open at 5:00 p.m. Children age 12 and younger will be admitted free when accompanied bya paying adult, fans will be able to enjoy free infield access throughout the day along with interactive games. NASCAR Busch Series drivers will practice until 8:00 p.m., and a one-hour driver autograph session will begin in the garage area at 8:15 p.m. The weekend continues June 16 when speedway gates open at 3:00 p.m., with Legends Series racing on the paved quarter-mile track. NASCAR Busch Series "Meijer 300 Presented by Oreo" qualifying follows at 5:00 p.m., and legendary rock artist Peter Frampton takes the stage on the Turn 1 Concourse at 6:30 p.m. The seventh NASCAR Busch Series event in speedway history will take the green flag at 8:00 p.m. Collectible event rally towels will be distributed to fans throughout the day courtesy of Cincinnati Bell, Edy's Grand Ice Cream, Fifth Third Bank, Holiday Homes, and WLWT-TV Channel 5 in Cincinnati.
