Single event tickets for all 2001 race events at Kentucky Speedway went on sale Monday, January 8th. Over 500 fans were lined up in front of the new Kentucky Speedway Ticket Offices located in Ft. Mitchell, KY well before dawn. Helping kick off the campaign were Indy Racing League Driver Sarah Fisher and ARCA 2000 Points Champion Frank Kimmell.

Fisher and Kimmell greeted fans and helped process ticket orders. 700 WLW radio was also in attendance with motorsports/sports reporter Bill "Seg" Dennison. In addition to purchasing tickets, fans were able to purchase Kentucky Speedway apparel and merchandise, see the Kentucky Speedway show car and meet "Horsepower", the track's mascot.

"We are very excited about the upcoming 2001 season and had a tremendous response today. The line was out the door all day, our phone system was maxed out, and the internet sales were incredible as our website had over 100,000 hits today alone. We believe the Busch, Truck, and IRL events are on their way to selling out which would be stand alone attendance records for each of those series," said Mark F. Cassis, Executive VP and General Manager at Kentucky Speedway.

A big hit for fans has been the new "Coca Cola 4-Pack". The tracks four biggest races are packaged together for one price. Fans receive seating in the Coca-Cola Grandstand, a Coca-Cola Racing Hat, a Coca-Cola/Kentucky Speedway T-Shirt, and a coupon for a Free Six Pack of .5 Liter Bottles of Coca-Cola redeemable at Kroger, plus, be registered to win a Coca-Cola/NASCAR Racing Jacket.

"Now that all of our tickets are on sale, we are very pleased. We have had orders come in from not only the tri-state area, but Pennsylvania, Michigan, Indiana, and West Virginia as well. Fans have a choice, they can select Season, Club, "The Coca-Cola 4-Pack", or individual events, and if today is any indication, we are on our way to another big year," concluded Cassis.
