BRISTOL, Tenn. - Joey Logano captured his first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) Bristol Motor Speedway victory Saturday by leading 78 laps and holding off his Team Penske Racing livery mate Brad Keselowski by 0.390 of a second.

Logano becomes the fifth driver to earn three series victories this season and advances to the Aug. 31 event at Atlanta Motor Speedway ranked fourth in the standings with 10 top-five and 14 top-10 finishes through 24 events this season.

"This is one of the three biggest races of the year," the 24-year-old driver said after setting his new single-season best for NSCS victories. "To have this in the record books with your name on it is really cool.

"I wasn't sure if we were a winning car this morning. What a year we are having. It's been so much fun. Such an awesome race."

Keselowski completed a top-two sweep for Ford after leading 46 laps. He charged from 14th position on Lap 200 to contend for his third all-time victory in the series at Bristol.

"We were really strong in that midsection, then, about three quarters of the way through the race, we had a bad run," Keselowski said.

He added that his No. 2's aerodynamics in traffic didn't provide him a stronger opportunity to challenge Logano's No. 22 during the closing laps.

"When I got right behind him, I'd get the dirty air and push too much to be able to do anything with him," Keselowski analyzed.

Joe Gibbs Racing's Matt Kenseth placed third in the No. 20, Hendrick Motorsports Jimmie Johnson earned his second straight top-10 finish of the season with a fourth-place effort and Stewart-Haas Racing's Kurt Busch completed the race top five.
