Nearly 1,300 motorcyclists from Greater Cincinnati and Louisville, Ky., converged on Kentucky Speedway to raise an estimated $50,000 for the March of Dimes on Saturday, Sept. 20.

Riders contributed funds through registration donations and individual sponsorships. The charitable trek concluded with "victory laps" on the speedway's 1.5-mile tri-oval.

"The motorcycle community is one of the most giving demographics," Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky March of Dimes Executive Director John Banchy said. "Riders hold several charity events throughout the year, so our relationship with Kentucky Speedway helps to make the 'Ride For Babies' one of the premier rides of the year."

The event is in its second year at Kentucky Speedway.

"We're proud to be involved with this unique event that supports such important work," Kentucky Speedway Director of Sales Dan Stuart said. "We look forward to helping this event grow in the coming years."
