Fans are invited to launch their "Meijer 300 presented by Ritz" race week fun by visiting the Meijer store at 4990 Houston Rd., in Florence, Ky., on June 10 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., to enjoy the Meijer Mobile Virtual Playground and an autograph session with NASCAR Nationwide Series competitors Scott Lagasse, Jr., Eric McClure and Scott Wimmer.

The Meijer Mobile Virtual Playground which features Ninteno Wii Games, a photo creation area and Meijer.com shopping kiosks will open at 2:00 p.m. Hefty, Kentucky Speedway and Ritz show cars go on display alongside track safety vehicles at 4:00 p.m. Drivers will greet fans and sign autographs from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., before the checkered flag waves on the festivities at 8:00 p.m.

The first 300 fans to arrive at the Houston Rd. store will be issued a priority wristband that will ensure them one autograph per driver. Wristband distribution will begin at 4:00 p.m.

Lagasse, Jr., will make his second "Meijer 300 presented by Ritz" start in the No. 43 Baker Curb Racing Ford. He placed 13th in last season's event. The 29 year old from St. Augustine, Fla., won the closest race in Kentucky Speedway history on May 7, 2004 by .014 of a second over Wade Day in an American Speed Association National Tour 125-lap event on the 1.5-mile tri-oval.

McClure is poised to make his fifth Nationwide Series start in the Bluegrass State. The 31 year old from Chilhowie, Va., placed 30th in last season's "Meijer 300 presented by Ritz" and has earned more than $85,600 in his Kentucky Speedway starts.

Wimmer plans to add to his legacy of Kentucky Speedway success. He made his "Meijer 300 presented by Ritz" debut in 2001 and started a string of four straight top-five Nationwide Series finishes at the track in 2002. The stretch included a second-place finish in 2008 and a third-place finish in 2007. The former NASCAR Sprint Cup Series regular from Wausau, Wis., placed 16th in last season's Kentucky 300-mile tilt and is averaging an eighth-place Nationwide Series finish at the track through six career starts. The 34 year old has completed 1,197 of a possible 1,200 race laps on the speedway 1.5-mile tri-oval and has earned more than $232,600 during his Kentucky visits.

The first of two 2010 Kentucky Speedway race weekends will open with Nationwide Series practice sessions on "Click it or Ticket. Buckle-Up Kentucky Practice Night" June 11. Speedway gates will open at 4:00 p.m., and practice sessions will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The night will conclude with grassroots racing when U.S. Legends International Series competition takes to the paved Kentucky Speedway quarter-mile oval for feature races beginning at 8:30 p.m. Speedway gates will close at 11:00 p.m.

Two-time "Meijer 300 presented by Ritz" winner and Joe Gibbs Racing young gun Joey Logano will defend his title against a stout field on NASCAR stars that will include Carl Edwards and Brad Keselowski on Saturday, June 12. Speedway gates will open at 2:00 p.m., "Meijer 300 presented by Ritz" qualifying will begin at 4:00 p.m., classic country music group Sawyer Brown will be in concert at 6:00 p.m., on the Turn 1 Concourse concert stage and the green flag will wave for the "Meijer 300 presented by Ritz" just after 8:00 p.m.
