Cincinnati Enquirer & Post Pole Night at Kentucky Speedway on Friday, July 12, will feature 43 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series teams vying for 36 spots on "The Kroger 225" starting grid and a chance to bring home the first-place prize check of $72,650.

Kentucky Speedway's $720,393 purse is the series' largest stand-alone event purse and second-largest circuit-wide this season.

The field of 43 qualifiers is one of the largest of the season as only NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series teams have attempted to qualify for each of 10 events held in 2002. NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series officials said the number of entries at Kentucky Speedway reflects the steady growth of the series and that more teams are participating on the circuit compared to 2001.
