Nearly 120 top street stock drivers representing 16 states will take to the Kentucky Speedway 1.5-mile asphalt tri-oval track Saturday, May 26 to stake their claim to the $10,000 grand prize on the table for the Frank Kimmel Enduro Nationals Presented by Harley-Davidson of Cincinnati and the Thoroughbred Harley-Davidson Shop of Florence, Ky.

The 150-mile event was designed by the eight-time ARCA RE/MAX Series champion and event co-promoter to offer local drivers the chance to compete at a major motorsports facility such as Kentucky Speedway. The event will include a mandatory Lap 50 pit stop during which drivers will be able to make adjustments to their cars.

"I thought it was a shame that some of the great short track racers in the country would never have a chance to compete at a venue such as Kentucky Speedway," Kimmel said. "This event will feature everyday, blue collar drivers that go home at night and work on their cars. It will be cool for those drivers because, for one, we'll pay $10,000 to win and drivers can build their own car and bring it to the track."

States currently represnted in the field are: Alabama, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania and South Carolina.

Speedway gates will open at 4:00 p.m., May 26, drivers will practice from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., the grid will be set at 7:30 p.m. by blind draw and the green flag is scheduled to fall at 8:00 p.m.

All tickets for the first-of-its-kind Kentucky Speedway event are $20 and through the tickets pages of this Web site, by phone at 888-652-RACE (7223), at outlets including Meijer stores and through Kentucky Speedway ticket offices located at 400 Buttermilk Pike, Suite 100, in Ft. Mitchell, Ky., or the Sparta, Ky., Fan Center located off of Interstate 71 Exit 57 and Ky. Hwy. 35 N. Tickets also will be on sale until race time on race day at the main speedway ticket windows.
