Kentucky Speedway is offering area race fans a chance to support the Victory Junction Gang Camp by purchasing a specially designed NASCAR pin for $5.00.

Proceeds from pin sales will be donated to the camp in the name of Kentucky Speedway fans. Pins are available at the Kentucky Speedway ticket office at 2216 Dixie Hwy., Ste. 200, in Ft. Mitchell, Ky., and at the speedway Fan Center located outside Turn 3 at the facility in Sparta, Ky.

The 62-acre camp officially opened earlier this summer in Randleman, N.C., on land donated by Richard and Linda Petty. The camp was established to enrich the lives of children with chronic or life-threatening illnesses by creating experiences that are memorable, exciting, fun, empowering, physically safe and medically sound. Children attending the camp would not otherwise be able to do so due to special needs. No child or family is required to pay to attend. "This is a tremendous opportunity for our fans to support a worthy cause," Kentucky Speedway Executive Vice President and General Manager Mark F. Cassis said. "The Association of Hole in the Wall Gang Camps has a well-established, successful track record of helping children and we certainly encourage our fans to support the association's newest venture in the heart of NASCAR country."

Speedway fans already have raised $4,000 for the camp through pin sales during the August 14-15 "Belterra Casino Indy 300" Indy Racing League race weekend.

Pins will be on sale through the September 18 "Kentucky Speedway Tripleheader Fall Classic" which will feature a combined 450-miles of racing in one day with the I-Power DASH Series, NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division Southeast Series and American Speed Association National Tour.
