Stuart Honored as Kentucky Speedway Salesman of the Year
Dan Stuart, senior director of business development and LaGrange, Ky., resident has been selected Kentucky Speedway's 2012 Salesman of the Year after generating more than $4.5 million in revenue.
Stuart has successfully developed and maintained mutually-beneficial corporate partnerships with the speedway's most long-standing clients since 2001.
"Dan's super-strong work ethic and dedication to our company shows in his attitude, prospecting skills, growth initiatives and client relations," Kentucky Speedway Vice President of Corporate Sales John Cox stated.
Stuart has served the speedway and its client base in several marketing and sales capacities through his tenure with the 107,000-capacity motorsports venue while establishing strong relationships within the motorsports industry.
"Today's economy requires a different sales approach than in years past. Dan has been very successful in adapting his sales strategies to provide the best possible return for our clients' investments. We are very proud to have Dan as our 2012 Kentucky Speedway Salesperson of the Year," Cox said.
In addition to the recognition, Stuart will be rewarded with a trip to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Awards Banquet in Las Vegas, Nev., Friday, Nov. 30.
Kentucky Speedway's 2013 season opens in June. Defending NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and Quaker State 400 champion Brad Keselowski will battle inaugural Kentucky race winner Kyle Busch and fellow stars Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Tony Stewart and more fan favorites in prime time June 29. The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) UNOH 225 will open the NASCAR tripleheader weekend June 27 and racing will continue June 28 with the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) Feed The Children 300.
The NNS will make a return Kentucky visit to join the ARCA Racing Series for a September doubleheader. The NNS Kentucky 300 takes to the track Sept. 21. The ARCA Racing Series (ARS) will open the weekend Sept. 20 with its 20th all-time appearance at the speedway. The ARS last appeared at the speedway in 2009. The list of ARS race winners at the track includes Kyle Busch, Ryan Newman, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., James Buescher and nine-time series champion Frank Kimmel, of nearby Jeffersonville, Ind.
