Kentucky Speedway will offer race fans great merchandise deals, the opportunity to see 2011 facility enhancements in progress and the chance to drive their own vehicles on the venue's 1.5-mile tri-oval racetrack on Saturday, Nov. 6 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., during then popular "Drive the Track Sale."

Shoppers who make a minimum $40 gift shop purchase will enjoy the unique experience of driving three paced laps around the track at speeds ranging from 60 mph to 70 mph.

The gift shop will be located in the speedway Infield Media Center for the sale where visitors will receive great merchandise deals on top NASCAR driver apparel as well as a wide variety of Kentucky Speedway branded casual apparel including outerwear.

The sale will take place five days after 2011 season ticket plans go on sale to the public and a plan purchase will qualify shoppers to drive laps.

"We expect this particular sale to be one of our most popular because our fans are very curious to see the progress construction crews are making on our new Ohio Tower and Kentucky Tower grandstands as well as our expanded camping and parking areas," Kentucky Speedway General Manager Mark Simendinger said.

The 2011 Kentucky Speedway schedule consists of two tripleheader weekends spotlighting the best in NASCAR and open-wheel action. The inaugural July 9 400-mile NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race concludes an opening weekend that showcases the first Thursday night NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event in speedway history on July 7 and a 300-mile NASCAR Nationwide Series battle on Friday, July 8. The second tripleheader combines a Saturday, October 1 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race with a 300-mile IZOD IndyCar Series event and 100-mile Firestone Indy Lights dash on Sunday, October 2.

Season ticket plans will include a reserved seat to the NASCAR Nationwide Series, NASCAR Sprint Cup Series IZOD IndyCar Series and Firestone Indy Lights races as well as general admission tickets to both NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races.

Plan seat locations will be offered in prime grandstand seating areas, including the new 19,000-seat Ohio Tower and Kentucky Tower grandstands that will feature chair-back seats.

Five price levels reflect a discount off single-event ticket pricing. Customers ordering one to three plans will receive a 10 percent discount with prices ranging from $199 to $309 per plan. Those reserving four or more plans will receive a 20 percent discount with prices ranging $179 to $279 per plan. Plan owners will have the right to renew reserved seat locations for future seasons, expand their ticket order for future seasons, change seat locations for future seasons and take advantage of an optional payment plan.

Plan owners also will receive one infield FanZone pass voucher good for either day of the speedway's October event weekend with each plan reserved as well as priority notice on opportunities to purchase individual tickets for 2011 NASCAR Nationwide Series, NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and IZOD IndyCar Series events at a 15 percent discount should individual race tickets be available.

Shoppers can expect to see everything from the family sedan to late model sports cars on the track during sale hours.

To participate in the sale, take I-71 Exit 57, follow Ky. Rte. 35 N and turn left at Speedway Entrance 3. Follow attendant instructions and signage to the infield.
