SPARTA, Ky. - One of the fastest-growing family and vacation destinations in the nation, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina will continue to be the title sponsor of the 300 NASCAR XFINITY Series race.

The 2015 event is scheduled to take the green flag Saturday, Sept. 26 at 8:00 p.m., and be televised on NBC Sports Network (NBCSN).

Known as "The Grand Strand" for its 60 miles of beautiful, sandy beaches, Myrtle Beach welcomes an average of 15 million annual visitors, many of whom travel from Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana.

Myrtle Beach prides itself in delivering true southern hospitality while enjoying more than 100 championship golf courses, countless family attractions, live entertainment and Carolina Coastal cuisine specializing in fresh seafood.

"We are excited to be back as the title sponsor for the 300 at Kentucky Speedway NASCAR XFINITY Series race," said Scott Schult, executive vice president of marketing for the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. "This partnership helps us engage with race fans throughout Kentucky, Ohio and the region to inspire them to visit Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. NASCAR fans and our visitors are very similar - they both love family fun and excitement. This is a great platform for creating future guests."

The 300 at Kentucky Speedway will conclude a two-race weekend that begins Friday, Sept. 25 with the ARCA Racing Series (ARS) Kentucky 150.

"Our 2014 race confirmed what we already knew, that race fans everywhere love Myrtle Beach," Kentucky Speedway general manager Mark Simendinger said. "Whether it was fans visiting our track and loving the car show, sand sculpture and beach theme or those watching Brendan Gaughan celebrate and winning a Myrtle Beach vacation for his entire team on television, this innovative sponsorship was well received. We are excited about delivering even more fun to our fans in 2015."
