Grammy nominee and last year's most nominated, most awarded new country artist, Brad Paisley will perform in concert prior to the NASCAR Busch Series race June 16th at Kentucky Speedway™.
The twenty-eight year old, singer-songwriter-guitarist's critically acclaimed debut album for Arista Records/Nashville, "WHO NEEDS PICTURES", has been certified Platinum (over one million copies sold). Paisley's #1 hits include "He Didn't Have To Be" and "We Danced." Both were co-penned by him. On February 17th, Paisley was formally inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN and his much-anticipated second album, Part II, is set to be released May 29th, just prior to appearing at Kentucky Speedway™.

Paisley will be one of the highlights of the pre-race activities for the Kentucky Speedway™ debut of the NASCAR Busch Series. He will entertain via a 90-minute concert on an infield stage starting at approximately 5:00 p.m. Paisley has also agreed to sing the National Anthem prior to the start of "The Kentucky 300".
The NASCAR Busch Series Grand National Division enters its 20th season in 2001 and is the nation's second richest and most popular stock car racing series. Fox Sports, on FX, will televise the race nationally beginning at 7:30 p.m. The race is expected to draw one of the largest crowds in the history of the Tri-State area. In 2000, Kentucky Speedway™ drew national attention when drawing the largest stand-alone crowds for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, NASCAR All Pro Series and ARCA. Over 300,000 fans attended events during the track's inaugural season and over 600,000 are expected for 2001.
Tickets are still available for the June 15th/16th weekend which now includes the NASCAR All-Pro Series, the NASCAR Goody's Dash Series, and the NASCAR Busch Series Race Event along with the Brad Paisley concert.
