Hot country music artist Chuck Wicks will open Kentucky Speedway's 2009 concert schedule at 6:00 p.m., Saturday and perform up to the start of prerace ceremonies for the 8:00 p.m., ARCA RE/MAX Series "Drive Smart. Buckle-Up! Kentucky 150."

The 29-year-old artist's "Man of the House" single from his self-titled collection ranks 31st on this week's Billboard Magazine "Hot Country Songs" Chart. The 2007 "Breakout Artist of the Year " saw his Top-10 debut single "Stealing Cinderella" spend more than 25 weeks on the publication's "Top Country Singles Chart ."

His first collection, "Starting Now," made its debut at No. 7 on Billboard's "Top Country Albums Chart" in January 2008 and he supported the launch by joining Brad Paisley's "Bonfires and Amplifiers Tour."

Wicks joined forces with his girlfriend and fellow country music artist Julianne Hough to place sixth in the 13-team "Dancing with the Stars" competition currently airing on ABC Television.

The former valet parking attendant from Smyrna, Del., writes more than 100 songs annually and penned 10 of 11 songs on his inaugural effort including his popular second single "All I Ever Wanted."
